Lauren loved people. The saying “never met a stranger” really applied to her because she would make anyone her friend. During her treatment, Lauren became friends with patients on our floor, her nurses and her doctors. They became part of our family. But people also loved Lauren. Every day, we would receive gift cards, presents, cards, or phone calls for Lauren. People showed us love in a time where our family needed it most. That’s exactly what the Love Like Lauren Foundation is all about.
This nonprofit organization helps families with children fighting pediatric cancer in our area in any way possible.Whether it is writing a check, donating toys to LCH, or sending care packages, we want Lauren’s memory to shine on today. She has been an inspiration to me and others since the day she was born and will continue to be. I know she would love nothing more than helping kids that are going through the same thing she went through. It’s a battle, but they are not alone. We want to love like Lauren.
